  1. It will be a sad day for wrestling when Rey Mysterio retires or dies. But then again, this is WWE we're talking about. Anything can happen!
  2. Does anyone remember the ROMO robot? It was a short lived device that was financed using Kickstarter, I believe, and it used an old smart device as a brain for a motorized undercarriage. I first discovered it when I was at a local antique and curio shop, and they were only charging $19 for it in box. It did not have the recharge cable, but once I got an old iPhone, I was able to get it working. Thank goodness for the source code being open-source! So I wonder if any of you out there had any experience with this device. It's worth the price of getting for a social robot of sorts. And given there's still a fan base out there for it, it is still worth it all. So feel free to speak about this. I await your reply.
  3. I'm basically a fan of the Academy Awards, and over the years I've been seeing some great instances happen. From Melissa Leo saying an F-Bomb, to Jennifer Lawrence taking a tumble, there's no part of this event that goes unnoticed. And as a collector, I've had the privilege of remembering great highlights, sometimes even live! So I open this out to the other members of this group. If any of you are fans of the Academy Awards, young or old, please comment here on your favorite moments that took you by surprise, or helped inspire you to greatness. Whether its minute or great, there's room for anyone here to respond. So please don't hesitate to reminisce on Oscar gold.
  4. The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance - TV Show The Dark Crystal - Movie Both work together in perfect unison, and make for a refreshing tonic to the non-stop CGI creature creations out there.
  5. I may not be well versed in the Musical accompaniments of wrestling teams, but given the above, it certainly sounds like it could join Hulk Hogan's and the Rock's themes. CAN YOU SMEEEEELLLL WHAT THE ROCK IS COOKING?!
  6. Whether or not Final Fantasy VII is the original classic, or the remake version, it still is essentially the same game, and still worth playing regardless. I'm a retro person at heart.
  7. I doubt that Twitch has anything to worry about. They have a practical monopoly on the popularity game. Microsoft may be teaming up with another online monolith to take on a common foe, but Twitch has brand recognition, and that is worth more than anything or anyone else out there.
  8. At least the PS5 combines elegance and grace. And given my love for the Playstation Brand, having every iteration of the consoles, including the handheld, I'd pick the Playstation 5 anytime!
  9. I'll just wait until all the installments are released before I purchase the game. I mean, they will bring out a collected box set of the games in an omnibus package. It happened with Mass Effect!
  10. At least I'm glad that more people of color are being honored at awards shows like this. I mean, we have gone so far from the Oscars-so-White days to the here and now where it doesn't matter which race, color or creed you are. You are worth the talent.
  11. Who would be the other two main characters, Shia LaBeouf and Corden Bleu?
  12. When it comes out, then I'll know if it's worth the hype. It may be from the creator of Wing Commander, but only time will tell if this often-delayed release can work in the end.
  13. At least Star Wars is getting some much needed traction. I mean, they might have ditched a couple of decades of canon after Disney brought them, but at least they're trying to get some sort of expanded universe, with the films and TV shows and Comics and novels. A little messy, but it will get done.
  14. I'm glad Usagi Yojimbo got honored here. I first heard of that character on the 1980's Ninja Turtles Series. I thought he was an original character to the show, but how was I wrong!
  15. At least we've getting a little more open in these changing times. I mean, the exceptions are quickly becoming the norms. Such is the human condition.
  16. Slow and steady is the common rule when dealing with an act of god such as a pandemic.
  17. The Golden Globes may be delayed as much as the Oscars, but at least they'll be on nonetheless. As long as they are held somehow, the cycle will not be broken. They've survived wars, union strikes, and other events prior. I believe it will work, even if it's virtual.
  18. Emma Watson. She's like a combination of Vanessa Redgrave, Julie Andrews, and Jean Simmons, with the elegant good looks of a young Genevieve Bujold. (Watch Anne of the Thousand Days and you'll see what I mean.)
  19. A toss up between the Lord of the Rings Trilogy, and The Last Emperor. Both were astonishingly good films!
  20. Good grief! You've got your Terminator in my Matrix! (It's a reference to Reese's Pieces, with the peanut butter in the chocolate cup. Watch Family Guy and you'll see what I mean.)
  21. Maybe this could be the beginning of something big. I mean, they did consider Lord of the Rings impossible to adapt, but that did not stop Peter Jackson from succeeding where others have failed. I believe the same will apply to Dune. Only time will tell.
  22. Well good. A respected actor/director producing the perfect Oscar-bait material, once again dealing with a Hollywood-friendly BTS material. The whole Roman Polanski thing might be a little controversial, given the Me too and Time's Up movements, but if dealt with in the right way, we could end up with another triumph in the same vein as Argo.
  23. Well given that Rick is on the Autism Spectrum, and one of the Creators is on the Autism spectrum, it basically is good for how Autistic people can achieve great things in the world at large.
  24. A. Tell us something about yourself? I am a retro-collector with a keen interest in old material B. How did you find InviteHawk? I found it in a search engine by chance. C.
