Soooo. How are things with you? As you may have noticed, our silly little site has grown like crazy this last year. I am really glad all you nice folks decide to spend time here. We are looking to increase the number of our highly trained staff, I hope you will take a moment to consider joining! We try to maintain a pretty laid back, low stress environment for our volunteers. There are no hard time requirements, and you do not need to be on the site all day. Japanese ability is not required, but may come in handy. You are welcome to step down anytime you want, and even short-term volunteers are welcome. GENERAL Staff -- Currently, we are in need of general staff that works on the wiki, adds TMDB entries for uploads, approves torrents, moderates the forums and Matrix and maintains the auto-uploads. ANIME Staff -- We need someone who can help us with anime uploads. The current staff team isn’t so smart about anime. This person would schedule anime recordings and uploads as well as other general staff tasks. VARIETY Staff -- We need someone who can help out with variety shows. This person will schedule variety recordings and uploads as well as other general staff tasks. MOVIE Staff -- We need someone who can help out with movies. This person will help schedule movie recordings and uploads as well as other general staff tasks. If you are interested in helping out on staff, send Benkei a message saying what role you are interested in and a little about yourself. I hope we can find some more people who are passionate about Japanese media to help out the site! We also have a highly skilled team of coding monkeys that keep the site running. But we are always looking to add to the coder team if you have some time you are willing to spend on our site. The site runs on PHP / Laravel, but there are other coding projects we are working on if Laravel isn’t your thing (Matrix bot?). Let @Benkei or @nikisby know if you are interested in helping out on the coding team! In other site news, we are going to enable the uploader class for users with 100 or more uploads. Uploader class is not automatic, you must request to become an uploader. The uploader class’s main perk is being able to skip upload moderation. Let Benkei know if you are interested in the Uploader user class. The invite forums are now viewable by Powerusers and above. If you are looking for invites to other trackers, or have some to give away, let everyone know in the 1337 Invite Exchange forums. You will also find official recruiting threads there from some of the best trackers on the internet. Our friends over at ACM (asiancinema) have recently opened a recruitment thread there. Be sure to take a look when you have some time!
