Seeding

I have obtained my very first tracker invite.  And then I got some freebies from Open Signup. I went on 3 locations and downloaded a single thing on each of them by going to browse all torrents and then hitting sort to descending leechers. I then choose 3 leech-heavy torrents to download. I did so, and now they aren't seeding.

 

I am using my phone as my torrenter. Is it possible to fix this? I am not using one of the prohibited clients listed on the websites FAQS.

1. Some sites don't allow mobile IPs so that may be an issue. (If the files downloaded then you can probably ignore this)

2. There may be too many other seeders. Just because people are downloading doesn't guarantee you'll get upload. You might need to try something with less seeders.

3. Speed. Sometimes if you're on a slow connection priority for seeding will be given to other people who can seed more efficiently. (again something with less seeders might work better)

4. Sometimes people only download parts of a torrent. Its possible that the leeches aren't actively downloading.  but have left the parts that they did download to seed. 

 

How long have you had the torrents downloading and trying to seed?

- I would recommend just leaving the torrents to sit and see if any upload comes later. 

 

How big are the files?

-I usually find it easier to get upload on larger files. If you're seeding something small then the upload easily gets filled by other people. 

 

If you still aren't sure you can watch for a fresh free leech file to pop up. Its best to refresh the page often and try to be the first to start downloading as soon as it pops up (1 seed 0 leech or even 0 seeds this advice only goes for NEW free leech though ). This gives you a slight advantage to download content before everyone else and seed it back as new people join. this works best if you have a fast connection though. Also keep in mind seed times for the sites your using and the amount of storage on your device. as if you still cant get upload you will have to keep seeding for the required time frame. 

 

If you still cant seed then file a support ticket with the tracker you are using. Their staff will know better than anyone else how the site runs and what steps to take to fix the issue.

Also. Don't go for movie packs or packs of anything. Most of the people that download those are only doing a partial download for one or two movies. Just keep refreshing freeleeches and download those as soon as they are posted.
