  5. Courteney Cox is anticipating her forthcoming wedding 'to be a whole musical'. The 51-year-old former Friends star is currently engaged to Snow Patrol musician Johnny McDaid. She shares 11-year-old daughter Coco with her ex-husband David Arquette, and Courteney is betting her preteen will belt out a host of tunes at the upcoming nuptial ceremony. 'Oh, for sure,' she told People magazine of whether Coco will perform at the wedding. 'It's going to be a whole musical.' Coco also performed at her father David's wedding to Christina McLarty, which took place earlier this year on April 12. But Courteney has no idea what her daughter is planning to sing at her nuptials with Johnny. 'I could request something, but I actually wouldn't have a choice. That kid loves to sing. Everything from Barbra Streisand to Cee Lo,' she noted. 'She's actually really, really talented. Coco sang a song for the film I directed called Just Before I Go. And she's amazing.' Courteney can definitely visualise Coco stepping into her parents' footsteps by becoming a professional entertainer. Coco will have to wait a few years until she can make a career out of her love for performing though. 'I think that's probably what she'll do. She'll probably do musical theatre because she loves to be very dramatic,' Courteney shared. 'She can do it for school now. But not professionally until she's older!' Courteney and Johnny don't have a wedding date set yet. However, they're enjoying putting all the details together. 'We don't have any plans at the moment. We don't have any firm decisions yet. But it's fun thinking about it and figuring out what to do and when to do it,' Courteney said. 'I'm having fun with that.'
  6. Michael Buble would dress his son in "some kind of disguise" if his wife didn't leave the clothes out for him. The singer and his actress-and-model wife Luisana Lopilato have little Noah together, who will turn two in August. Luisana, 28, says that while 39-year-old Michael is a caring father, she has to guide him in the right direction. "Every time I go out, I leave everything ready for him," she admitted to the British edition of OK! magazine. "He only has to warm the water for the baby bottle. I leave the nappies, the clothes Noah has to wear. If I don't do that, the child will go out wearing some kind of disguise! As a mother, I prepare everything in advance. I'm so structured in my life and I want everything right and perfect." Luisana and Michael did have the help of a nanny, but she had to quit due to a family issue. The couple have been coping alone for six months now, despite their busy schedules. While they've managed, they are already on the lookout for a new nanny. "It's good to have a little help because when you have a baby you have to carry everything - the stroller, purse. When someone helps you, the quality of the relationship with your child is better, because you're not so stressed and you can enjoy those moments," Luisana explained. "My life revolves around four things - my son, my husband, suitcases and a script. I always have a script in my hands!" The family had a shock earlier this week when Noah was scalded by hot water and rushed to hospital with serious burns. Luisana took to social media to thank fans for their support and let them know the tot was doing OK.
  7. Citadel comes to Victoria Park next weekend boasting an array of talent and looking set to encapsulate the perfect summer Sunday. Topping the bill are two of the UK's biggest acts, in the form of the chart/arena conquering folk hero Ben Howard, and critically acclaimed, award winning quartet Bombay Bicycle Club, who will play their only London performance of 2015 at Citadel. Furthermore, there's an impressive slew of other artists which make Citadel one of the most important and exciting musical happenings of the year. Also taking to the main stage will be Kurt Vile & The Violators, taking their anthemic, sun-kissed Americana to the masses. They say: 'We look forward to playing in London again this summer! One of our favorite cities in the world!'. Anna Calvi will also be delivering her trademark dramatic flair, this time augmented by The Heritage Orchestra, and Doves frontman Jimi Goodwin will be performing material from his lauded solo album 'Odludek'. Brooklyn based troubadour Steve Gunn will also be making an appearance, as will singer-songwriter Joe Pug and his gorgeous, offbeat ballads. Meanwhile, at the Communion stage, British alt folk band Bear's Den head up proceedings alongside electronic-pop connoisseur Dan Croll and the beautiful soul/R&B outfit Nathaniel Rateliff and the Night Sweats. Take-no-prisoners Glaswegian lo-fi rock duo Honeyblood will be picking up the pace alongside Australian rock and roll trio The Walking Who, and dreamy, rapidly ascending balladeer Tor Miller will also be in attendance alongside the hotly-tipped, enigmatic Rhodes. Which is not to say, however, that those looking to dance won't be satisfied. Not in the least, as Citadel will be treated to an exclusive set from Despacio, the innovative, custom-built soundsystem brought to you by LCD Soundsystem's James Murphy and 2manydjs. This is going to be an unmissable experience. Elsewhere, Soundcrash taps iconic British rapper Roots Manuva, Seun Kuti leading the legendary Afrobeat band Egypt 80, Flying Lotus collaborator and white hot star in her own right Andreya Triana, the off-kilter electronic jazz collective Hidden Orchestra and Ibibio Sound Machine, who will be bringing a bit of Nigerian punk/ psychedelic soul to Victoria Park. 8. Following a phenomenal run in New York earlier this year, Ms. Lauryn Hill has today announced that she will be returning to the UK for a very special performance of her critically acclaimed and extremely intimate 'Small Axe: Acoustic Performance Series' at London's O2 Shepherd's Bush Empire on Wednesday 15th July. Ms. Lauryn Hill the American singer-songwriter, rapper, record producer, academician and actress established herself in the music world as the lone female member of The Fugees, whose record sales would make them the second biggest selling R&B act worldwide since Michael Jackson. Lauryn launched her solo career with the release of the commercially successful and critically acclaimed album 'The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill'. This album earned Ms. Hill a record breaking five Grammy Awards including 'Album of the Year' and 'Best New Artist'. Ms Hill also has 6 new songs featured on the highly acclaimed, upcoming Nina Simone Tribute album Nina Revisited: A Tribute To Nina Simone released on the 10th July via RCA Records in conjunction with the upcoming documentary What Happened, Miss Simone?, which became available on Netflix today June 26. Ms. Hill grew up in a home where the sound of music was a household staple and this love affair with music would extended in many different ways from jazz, to soul, to reggae, to rock and classical. These influences in turn would dramatically shape her approach to self expression and see her establish a powerful hybrid of musical influences. The rare and intimate nature of this show will make it one of the hottest tickets of the year, make sure you don't miss out. JULY 2015 WEDNESDAY 15 London O2 Shepherds Bush Empire Tickets are on-sale from 9am on Wednesday 1st July priced at ÂŁ75.00 / ÂŁ65.00 / ÂŁ49.50 (subject to per-ticket charge plus order processing fee).
  9. PJ Harvey, the only artist to have been awarded the Mercury Prize twice, will be the special guest at this year's UK Songwriting Festival at Bath Spa University. The annual event will be held from 15 to 20 August at the University's picturesque Newton Park Campus. Applicants are sought from all backgrounds and musical tastes to take part in the five-day residential course. PJ Harvey has a place in Rolling Stone's Greatest Albums of All Time, won 'Outstanding Contribution to Music' at the NME Awards in 2011, and in 2013 was awarded an MBE for services to music. On making the announcement, festival director Chris Blanden said: 'I'm really pleased that PJ Harvey will be joining us this year to talk about her life as a songwriter. This will be an incredible experience for the students.' The tutors working at this year's festival are some of the most acclaimed songwriters in pop, rock, country and folk: Boo Hewerdine, Kim Richey, Andy White, Julianne Regan and Jez Ashurst. Tutor Jez Ashurst, who has written songs for Leona Lewis, Will Young and Boyzone, said: 'It's fantastic news for this amazing festival. Not only do our students learn from the tutors, they learn from each other.' This year's festival is aimed at songwriters who already have some experience and have written more than 25 songs. There are only 40 places available and demand is high, so a selective admissions process is in place. Applicants are asked to apply for the course via an online submission form at www.uksongwritingfestival.com and are asked to send links to three original compositions, as well as demonstrating how long they have been writing for, how many songs they have written, the styles they like to write in, their influences and favourite song. The cost of the course is ÂŁ1,280 for tuition, accommodation and evening meals or ÂŁ900 for tuition and evening meals only. The deadline for applications is Tuesday 30 June and applicants will receive notification of acceptance by Friday 3 July. For further information visit uksongwritingfestival.com.
  10. Miguel is glad he can walk down the street without being recognised. The singer is a solid name in American music, and bagged a Grammy in 2013 for his song Adorn. However he's managed to retain his anonymity for the most part, which suits the 29-year-old just fine. "I can walk down the street now and plenty of people won't know who I am. I think as my career progresses and hopefully with more success, I don't want to change that," he revealed to Hunger magazine. "It's kind of the energy that you give off. I know actors that walk down the street and it's because they don't have a f**king bodyguard drawing attention to them. "I still want to enjoy my life. I realise that as a creative person that it puts you in a spotlight it comes with certain sacrifices. There can be boundaries that you can establish and knowing how to be polite but stern goes a long way. Most people understand and respect that." Miguel has previously collaborated with Lorde, A$AP Rocky and Mariah Carey, and also loved recently working with Brit star Jessie Ware. He's looking forward to his star rising even higher, but hopes life doesn't alter too drastically. "I want it all. I want mega mega mega success and I want my humanity. I don't think I have to sacrifice it. It's all in the energy you give. People can respect that. I'm not all about the megalomania. "I've been late, almost missing flights because of things like... [stopping to meet fans]. It is a very give and take thing. This is what I asked for and I love the people, I love the music and that it's become a part of their lives as well," he added.
  11. The Libertines walked out onto the Pyramid Stage at 8:25pm to a surprised and rapturous welcome from the sold-out crowd at Glastonbury. The band, who had never played the Pyramid Stage before, said 'it was always something we wanted to do and it lived up to all our expectations - very exciting.' They would also like to thank Festival Republic for agreeing for them to play prior to their headlining appearances at the Reading and Leeds Festivals at the end of August. The nineteen song set at Glastonbury included three songs from the bands new album - Gunga Djin, Anthem For Doomed Youth and You're My Waterloo. The Libertines have already left Glastonbury by helicopter and are flying to Russia tonight to play at the Ahmad Tea Music Festival in Moscow tomorrow. The band's last sold-out UK dates were at Alexander Palace (3 shows - September) and Hyde Park Calling (July). 12. The Who closed another successful day at BST Hyde Park with a set of classic hits with ex-Mods out in force. Roger Daltrey and Pete Townshend kicked off with 'I Can't Explain' and kept the crowd entertained with 'Behind Bue Eyes', 'The Kids Are Alright' and 'My Generation'. Paul Weller requested 'Pictures Of Lilly' after playing a stunning support slot set including Jam favourites That's Entertainment', 'Start' and set closer 'Town Called Malice'. The Who showed they still have it playing to the first of the weekends two 65,000 capacity sold out shows The opening act on the main stage today was Gaz Coombes, Supergrass frontman and now solo artist whose latest record Matador was well received by the crowd. Next up the mighty Johnny Marr, formerly of The Smiths, played a set spanning his career adding a cover of 'I Fought The Law' by The Clash and closed with a mammoth rendition of the classic How Soon is Now? The Kaiser Chiefs were next up, with a storming set including huge hits Ruby and I Predict A Rate that saw the crowd jumping and singing along. Artists playing across the other stages on the site included The Rifles, Slydigs, Sleaford Mods and Vintage Trouble. A great atmosphere continued to prevail as Paul Weller made his time on stage count playing tunes including The Changing Man and That's Entertainment. His performance was a fitting set up for headliners The Who. Celebrities who came down to the day included Lionel Richie, Leslie Ash, Olympic swimmer Mark Foster, Fearne Cotton and Jeremy Clarkson, Allen Leech and Charlie Webster and Chris Moyles.
  13. Nicole Scherzinger is apparently finding it hard to watch Lewis Hamilton "moving in on her industry". The former Pussycat Doll made her name as a singer but recently there was news her British label had dropped her, allegedly because sales were bad. It comes during a tough year, which saw the 36-year-old split up from her Formula 1 driver boyfriend Lewis, 30, in February. To make matters worse, the sportsman is breaking into the music industry with rappers such as Kanye West and Tinie Tempah backing his career move. "Nicole feels her luck is really down, so seeing Lewis having so much fun while moving in on her industry is tough," an insider explained to British magazine Star. "Being dropped by her label feels like the last straw." Lewis also seems to be doing well with the ladies and has been spotted flirting up a storm with models Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid, although it's claimed they're all just friends. Nicole did have success as a judge on the British version of The X Factor but she's now been replaced by UK star Cheryl Fernandez-Versini, which is also thought to have hit her hard. "She's really confused about what went wrong," the source sighed. "Everyone knows she's talented but she just can't catch the breaks. She was dumped from The X Factor so Cheryl Fernandez-Versini could return, and now her recording career is in trouble too."
  14. Miranda Lambert reportedly 'rolls her eyes' when Carrie Underwood gives marriage advice. The 31-year-old Grammy-winning singer has been married to fellow country music musician Blake Shelton for four years. Carrie, who wed hockey player Mike Fisher in 2010, supposedly doles out marital guidance to Miranda regularly, but apparently the advice is unwelcome. 'She's been telling Miranda that she should put her own career on pause to keep the home fires burning,' a source told America's Star magazine. '[Miranda] just rolls her eyes and smiles politely.' It's claimed Miranda appreciates Carrie, but finds the suggestions unwarranted. Rumours are rife the Little Red Wagon songstress doesn't really identify with her colleague's ideas of marital life. 'Miranda knows Carrie's advice comes from a good place, but her life and marriage aren't remotely similar to Carrie's,' the insider explained. Miranda has previously gushed over what a wonderful influence Blake is on her. 'I'm not sunshine and roses. Blake's the happiest person on the planet,' she told the American edition of Marie Claire. 'He pulls me out of my darkness . Literally, everything is the best about being married." The couple tied the knot in May 2011 on a Texas ranch after five years of dating. Miranda also recently insisted they're just like every other couple - often arguing like husbands and wives generally do. But she thinks it's vital to apologise when in the wrong. "Both my mum and my grandma were really big influences on me not only by being strong and teaching me to be strong but also owning their salt as well. My mum was never afraid to say, 'I'm sorry. I screwed up.' I feel like that's an important lesson," she explained to elle.com. "We try to hold ourselves to such high - sometimes impossible - expectations. I think it's OK to make mistakes and learn from them and be who you are."
  15. Azealia Banks has been forced to cancel her Glastonbury Festival set. The 24-year-old rapper was scheduled to perform on Saturday at the famous annual music gathering, which is held in Somerset, England. But Azealia simply can't play the show due to medical matters. 'Today I was put on vocal rest by my Doctor which is forcing me to cancel Glastonbury,' she confirmed in a statement released to MailOnline. Azealia is upset about having to pull out of her gig at the last minute. She really wanted to entertain fans with a rocking show. 'You have no idea how frustrated and sad this makes me because I love the UK and Glastonbury so much,' the star added in her statement. 'You have all supported me from the early days and I was really looking forward to putting on an incredible show for you all, rain or shine! 'Please know, that as soon as I'm allowed to be on stage again, when I have a full bill of health, I will be back! I hope you understand and I look forward to seeing you all again soon.' Azealia's slot will be replaced by Irish band The Strypes, who are elated to perform in her place. Glastonbury is full of surprises this year. The Foo Fighters had to pull out of their gig because lead singer Dave Grohl broke his leg. And to the shock of many fans, Pete Doherty's band The Libertines filled the Foo Fighters' place Friday night ahead of the Florence + the Machine show.
  16. The development team at BioWare has been delivering multiplayer events for Dragon Age: Inquisition ever since the game was launched last fall, and the company is now doing something different, with a new mission that's designed to run for a longer period of time. From now until July 6 at 5 AM, gamers will need to face a variety of challenges that will test all their skills. The actual goals will change each day in the multiplayer mode of Dragon Age: Inquisition, and gamers will have to switch between getting through matches without dying, accumulating points, killing different types of enemies, and more. If the community and each player manage to get to their daily goals, they will get victory and commendation chests, filled with items that can be used to boost their own characters. It's unclear why BioWare has chosen to deliver a longer multiplayer event, but it might be preparing to offer fans more content for the mode and an announcement could come once the current mission ends. A new survey from the development team had already all but confirmed that it was working on a new single-player downloadable content pack for Dragon Age: Inquisition, which might be launched in the fall.
  17. The first update for Batman: Arkham Knight on the PC platform is now available for download. The patch weighs in at around 67.6MB according to the Steam service and brings forth a suite of essential fixes for major performance issues. 20. Star Wars Battlefront is shaping up to be one of the biggest launches of the year and some gamers are disappointed that it will be fully focused on multiplayer action, with no classic campaign that will appeal to fans of the series who do not want to interact with other humans. Patrick Bach, the leader of the DICE studio, tells Gamespot that there were never plans to create a single-player component for the title because the concept is not one that the series has worked with in the past. The developer states, "The concept for us was always that we wanted players to re-live the battles. We wanted them to play the battles from the original movies. And DICE, coming from its Battlefield background, knows how to make awesome battles in that context." Bach acknowledges that even for the more mainstream Battlefield experience, the single-player has failed to offer the same enjoyment level as the multiplayer. DICE might work to address that imbalance for the future titles in the franchise, but it's clear that the company is more focused on the game mechanics that it knows best, those which involve humans interacting, either cooperatively or competitively. Star Wars Battlefront will deliver all the battles seen in the original movie series DICE has worked closely with LucasFilm to make sure that it captures the essence of the trilogy, with a focus on new tech that can bring objects into the game with increased realism and that can also be used to deliver accurate environments. Players can take the side of the Empire or the Rebels as they fight for dominance on planets like Tatooine, Hoth, Sulluth, and more, with access to both vehicles and heroes that include Darth Vader and Luke Skywalker. A Survival mode is also included in the shooter, allowing players to cooperate, either online or locally, in order to deal with waves of enemies that become ever more powerful. Star Wars Battlefront will be out on November 17 and can be played on the PC, the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4. Gamers who pre-order will get a Battle of Jakku downloadable content package, linked to The Force Awakens, on December 1 and the rest of the community will play the same DLC one week later.
  21. 343 Industries confirms that all Halo: The Master Chief Collection users can now enjoy Team Snipers playlists across each game included in the large pack. There are different variations present, designed to mimic the original experience from each title. Halo: The Master Chief Collection launched back in November of last year, and while it encountered a huge amount of problems at launch, developer 343 Industries has slowly but surely enhanced the game and resolved most issues. Now, it confirms on the Halo Waypoint that a new set of Team Snipers playlists are available across all the different games in the collection. Bear in mind that each title, Halo 1, Halo 2 Classic and Anniversary, Halo 3, and Halo 4, have different variations on the Team Snipers experience, altering the starting loadout or disabling certain features, in order to mimic the original mode from each of those different games. 343 Industries also asks players to submit their feedback in regards to Team Snipers, as it knows that it can't satisfy the huge fan base right from the get-go. Halo: The Master Chief Collection users are invited to try out the new playlists and share their thoughts with the studio. Check out the different Team Sniper rules for each game below. MCC Team Snipers In Halo: CE, the Team Snipers game type features the Sniper Rifle as your primary weapon, the Pistol as your secondary, starting Frag Grenades enabled, and motion tracker disabled. These settings mimic the default “Snipers” option in Halo: CE’s custom game types. In Halo 2 Classic, you’ll have the Sniper Rifle as your primary, the Magnum as your secondary, Frag Grenades to start, and the motion tracker will be disabled. In Halo 2: Anniversary, you’ll wield the Sniper Rifle as your primary weapon, the Magnum as your secondary, Frag Grenades are enabled, and the motion tracker is disabled. In Halo 3, you’ll have the Sniper Rifle as your primary, no secondary weapon (outside of the occasional Sniper Hill game type, which will feature the Magnum as secondary), Frag Grenades are enabled, and the motion tracker is enabled, as it was when the playlist was first available in Halo 3. However, we are considering disabling this in a future update, but rather than hold the playlist, we’ve made Halo 3 available with its current settings. Be sure to send us your feedback on Twitter and the forums and let us know. In Halo 4, you’ll have the Sniper Rifle as your primary weapon, no secondary weapon, and no grenades, which is the same game type you may remember playing in Halo 4 matchmaking on the good ‘ol Xbox 360.
  22. Video game developer EA Sports is announcing that the cover image for the upcoming NHL 16 will feature two of the best players in the National Hockey League, Jonathan Toews and Patrick Kane from the Chicago Blackhawks. The pair will be pictured with the Stanley Cup trophy that they have won, and this will be the first time in the history of the franchise that two athletes will be featured as the winners of the competition. Jonathan Toews states, "I’m honored to not only share the Stanley Cup Championship with Patrick, but to share the EA Sports NHL 16 cover with him too. Our team’s passion and dedication have made this all possible – and I’m sure fans will be fired up about it." Patrick Kane also expressed delight at being chosen for the cover of the hockey simulation alongside his teammate. EA Sports says that the choice of two players from the Chicago Blackhawks is designed to show the teamwork spirit that will infuse NHL 16 when it is launched. All the core mechanics of the hockey simulation have been re-designed to show how a solid team can achieve more than the individual players ever could on their own. NHL 16 will offer six versus six online play Gamers can go online, with or without friends, in order to take part in matches where all the players on the ice are controlled by a human, including the goalkeepers, which is a first for the franchise. Cooperative local play is also included in NHL 16. For those who want to play solo, EA Sports is introducing a new focus on morale for the General Manager campaign, giving players more ways to tweak their team and improve its performance. The Be a Pro mode has a re-designed progression system, and gamers will also get a set of improvements for the Ultimate Team experience. NHL 16 will appear on both the PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One and can be played starting on September 15 in North America and two days later in Europe. Versions for older home consoles will also be offered, but they will miss some of the new core features.

  24. Bethesda assures that the RPG is great in first-person view Fallout 4 developer Bethesda confirms that it's taken great care to ensure that the post-apocalyptic role-playing game delivers satisfying first-person shooter mechanics, and that players who use the VATS system will have a slight advantage, as opposed to those that rely just on skill. Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas have taken the isometric RPG experience seen in the original series and transformed it into a modern RPG that can be played using a first or third-person perspective. Unfortunately, at least with Fallout 3, trying to play the title as a first-person shooter wasn't all that great, as the actual mechanics were slightly erratic and forced players to rely on the VATS (Vault-Tec Assisted Targeting System) which stopped time, locked onto nearby enemies, and allowed players to shoot into different parts of their bodies. Fallout 4 will have better first-person shooting With Fallout 4, developer Bethesda promises much better first-person shooter mechanics, as it's worked hard to ensure that, while the title is a role-playing game, it can be played quite well as a shooter. However, Game Director Todd Howard tells GameSpot that players who use the VATS mechanic will have a slight advantage. "We started out with Fallout 4 knowing that, look, we can't apologize for being a role-playing game. We have to build a first-person shooter, and it needs to be a really, really good one. We spent a lot of time on that. We want players to have the edge if they use the VATS system. If you're building your character for VATS, it's really powerful," he explains. As seen in the E3 2015 gameplay videos, the VATS mechanic of Fallout 4 offers a slightly tweaked experience, as it no longer stops time, instead just slowing things down in order to not feel so over-powered. You can expect to see and hear more about the Fallout 4 VATS feature in the following months, as we get closer to the game's debut on PC, PS4, and Xbox One on November 10.
  25. Rockstar Games confirms that it's going to debut the second part of its Ill-Gotten Gains update for Grand Theft Auto 5's GTA Online multiplayer mode across PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox One, and Xbox 360 in July. GTA 5 received its latest big update for the GTA Online multiplayer mode earlier this month, in the form of the Ill-Gotten Gains patch, which brought forth many different items for players to spend their virtual money on. At that time, developer Rockstar promised to release more goodies and other rewards for loyal fans via a second part of the update. Now, on the official newswire, the studio confirms that the Ill-Gotten Gains Update: Part 2 launches in July across all of the game's platforms. As such, GTA 5 owners on PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One should expect to download the latest content patch sometime next month. No exact date was given, so it's unlikely that the update will appear next week. While it's unclear just what new things will be a part of the patch, the studio confirms that it will allow console owners to enjoy The Lab radio station, which appeared first with the PC version of GTA 5 back in April.
