A. Tell us something about yourself?

I don't know if anybody has ever heard of noitatS but that's how long I have been around. Interests are animals & wildlife, nature & outdoors, board & PC games, ecology, economy, politics, science and history as well as travel and exotic, melodic/rhythmic music from around the world.

B. How did you find InviteHawk?

By coincidence, as an erroneous search result while looking for something completely different.

C. What Torrent Sites are you looking for? (Mention none if just browsing)

Sites where one can find high quality (in technical terms, everything else is a matter of differing tastes) instrumental/orchestral film scores and movie soundtracks, musicals, 1950s, 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s, music from other countries and cultures. Second on the list would be a tracker for 4k movies, preferably remastered old classics and epic works (Lord of the Rings, Gladiator, ...) instead of the umpteenth rehash of superhero and Transformers garbage. Third on the list might be a dedicated site for PC games  --  I just have to investigate/compare/evaluate which sites might be the best addresses for these types of content.   😉

D. Do you use the same email on InviteHawk as well as on trackers? (If yes, change it from your profile or contact a staff member)

I most sincerely hope that nobody will be able to see my e-mail address, otherwise it is me who should be doing the questioning;  😜 but no, it's not my real life one and so far, there have never been any conflicts or problems in 17 years.

E. Do you have any suggestions for InviteHawk?

Yes, but it would not be polite to come to a new place and present brilliant ideas on day 1. Let me have a look around to see what is to like or dislike here and if it's worthwhile, ideas and suggestions will follow naturally.

One thing I did like, however, was the relatively friendly welcome. Too many forum (let alone tracker) administrators and system operators are like roosters who believe that the sun only rises in the morning to hear their crowing, because the absolute power they have in their little virtual world goes to their heads. At first glance, this was a welcome and appreciated exception here, thanks for that.  :-)

Oh, there is actually something right here and now: it would be nice to have a [Preview] button for messages before submitting them. Not a big deal for an introduction, but later, when guides or tutorials with a little more complex formatting are going to be written, getting a glance at how a post will render is always useful.

Thank you for your attention as well as for the warm welcome and have a pleasant evening.

Yours faithfully,

QUI PECCAVIT

I am still looking around to figure out where/how one can configure the usual settings (avatar, signature, preferences)

Welcome to the community. To set your avatar, click on your username at the top right of this page and select 'Profile' then scroll down the page a bit and you'll see your default avatar on the left hand side. Click the image icon to choose a photo.

To set your signature, click on your username in the top right again, but this time select 'Account Settings' from the menu, then select 'Signature' from the menu on the left hand side of that page.

One down, one to go -- this time I noticed the tiny grey square in the bottom left corner of the letter image, so the avatar is set. In the 'Account Settings' however, there is no option for a signature: on the left side, the options from top to bottom are:

=> Overview | E-mail Address | Password | Recently used Devices | Fakecrook | Twitter | Discord | Delete my Account | Who we are.

In the centre column, there are the following entries that reflect the data I entered (from top to bottom):

 => Display Name | E-mail Address | Password | Profile Status - [Your profile is 100% complete] | Fakecrook | Twitter | Discord.

In the column on the right, there are merely:

=> OTHER SETTINGS | Notification Settings | Edit Profile | Ignored Users.

No entry for signature whatsoever, neither under [Edit Profile] nor under [Account Settings].

Nevertheless, 50% accomplished are already 50% more than yesterday and your kind support is well appreciated. Thank you for the pointer and have a pleasant evening. :)
