  3. Gotham's fifth and final season will begin filming in July, it has been confirmed. The Batman prequel series recently wrapped up its fourth run in typically apocalyptic fashion by taking cues from the 'No Man's Land' comic story, as sort-of Joker, Jeremiah Valeska, succeeded in isolating Gotham City and cutting it off from the outside world. Naturally, the city's various criminals didn't take long to establish their own territories, with the likes of Barbara Kean, Penguin and Victor Fries (Mr. Freeze) all springing into action. Among the lawlessness, only a handful of GCPD officers led by Jim Gordon and fledgling vigilante Bruce Wayne remained behind to defend the fallen city. Upon the conclusion of season 4, Gotham's future was very much hanging in the balance thanks to modest viewing figures and both fans and cast members seemed unsure about whether the show would return. Fortunately for Gotham viewers, Fox eventually confirmed a fifth season of the series was underway but went on to announce that it would be the show's final run. It has since been suggested by actress Camren Bicondova that Gotham season 5 will also be notably shorter than previous runs, potentially clocking in at only 10 episodes in length. Executive producer Danny Cannon has now announced that filming of Gotham season 5 will begin next month, with a July 23 date set. Revealing the news on his Instagram, Cannon accompanied the update with an appropriately heroic picture of a gun-toting Ben McKenzie as Jim Gordon. The filming start date is more or less in line with previous seasons of Gotham, which have subsequently gone on to hit TV screens in September of the same year. As such, it could perhaps have been expected that Gotham season 5 would do the same - maybe arriving even earlier if the reports of a shorter season proved true. However, Fox have confirmed that Gotham's final season won't actually premiere until 2019 - an odd decision considering the filming date remains on the same schedule as previous runs. Of course, with filming underway very soon, it surely won't be long until the season 5 rumor mill begins, bringing speculation as to which new characters or storylines Gotham's final season will introduce. With only a limited number of episodes left and the show's fate set in stone, Gotham's creatives now have free reign to go out with a bang in season 5 and take advantage of their last chance to bring their favorite Batman characters into live action. Fans will no doubt be hoping this leads to a frenetic, shocking and action-packed end to the Gotham story. Gotham season 5 is set to premiere in 2019 on Fox. 4. Mark Strong may be preparing for a role in James Bond 25, based on a new video posted by his personal trainer. Strong, of course, is best known for playing villains in films ranging from Matthew Vaughn joints like Stardust and Kick-Ass to Guy Ritchie's Sherlock Holmes and Andrew Stanton's John Carter. Naturally, the actor doesn't only stick to evil-doers and has portrayed the good guy in films like the Sacha Baron Cohen action/comedy The Brothers Grimsby and Vaughn's Kingsman comic book movie series. He's no stranger to the spy genre either, thanks to his roles in those latter films. Fittingly, Strong will be playing the antagonist yet again in next spring's DC superhero movie, Shazam! It's looking like Shazam! won't be the actor's only tentpole effort in 2019 either, now that his trainer Giacomo Farci has posted a social media video indicating that Strong is getting ready to play a role in the next (and currently untitled) Bond film. But if that's the case, will Strong play a friend or foe to Daniel Craig's 007? The clip that Farci posted to his Instagram account doesn't flat-out confirm that Strong is getting ready to play a role in James Bond 25. It does, however, show Strong hard at work getting in physical shape for a "new project". More importantly, Farci tagged the video with several Bond-related hashtags, including Craig himself, Bond 25, Danny Boyle (who's now confirmed to direct Bond 25), and longtime Bond producers Barbara Broccoli and Michael Wilson. UPDATE: Farci has taken the video down and re-uploaded it to his social media accounts, but without the Bond-related hashtags. You can check out a screenshot of his original video post below: Assuming Farci's clip means Strong is part of the Bond 25 cast, it's worth noting the video doesn't actually specify what his role will be. Strong could just as easily be training to play the main villain's muscle (similar to the role Dave Bautista tackled in the last Bond movie, 2015's Spectre) as he could be preparing to play the big bad himself, or even one of 007's fellow British secret agents. It's rumored that Helena Bonham Carter is the top pick to play Bond 25's big bad, indicating the character is written as a woman. However, since nothing has been confirmed on that front just yet, Strong shouldn't be ruled out as a contender for the film's main antagonist. Whatever the case may be, Strong would be a great addition to the Bond 25 cast. The caliber of talent circling the film is further a testament to Bond 25's potential to return the franchise to the artistic heights reached by Craig-led installments like Casino Royale and Skyfall, following the lukewarm reception to Spectre three years ago. With Boyle directing and Strong and Carter possibly costarring, Bond 25 might yet prove to be something special - and the perfect way for Craig to end his run on the franchise, as seems to be the plan. 5. Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard have nothing but praise for the surprising ending of Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, even though the film itself hasn't received the best response from critics and general audiences. Critics seem to be going out of their way to give the film brutal reviews, with some citing the messy plot. The ending itself, however, has been praised by some who aren't thrilled by the rest of the film. Jurrasic World: Fallen Kingdom, which is directed by J.A. Bayona and based on a script by Jurassic World's Colin Trevorrow, also stars Rafe Spall, Justice Smith, and Daniella Pineda. The film ends on a proper cliffhanger that's different from past Jurassic Park movies. Audiences see clone Maisie Lockwood (Isabella Sermon) hit a big red button, and all havoc breaks loose. In an interview with Collider, Pratt and Howard agree that the ending changes the direction of the entire franchise, with Pratt being the most enthusiastic of the two. He said: "The ending of this film and the promise of how we can expand outward with the threats and the - sort of - adventure in this kind of movie was the reason to make this movie." Howard agrees with Pratt while adding that the ending leaves viewers with some impossible questions to answer. She says she has nothing but "mad respect" for the twist at the end. Perhaps the ending of Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom is a brilliant idea that will make Jurassic World 3 a comeback of sorts after the mixed response of the current film. It's a cliffhanger of an ending that makes one ask how humans and dinosaurs will be able coexist with each other. If they can't coexist, will it be the end of the reign of humans? Audiences will have to wait until Jurassic World 3 releases in 2021 to find out. Some may balk at the idea of the third film being directed by Colin Trevorrow again after Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, but he has consistently stated that the current film was always intended to be the middle of a trilogy. In addition to the ending of the current film showing promise, Trevorrow can spice things up even more by adding Jeff Goldblum, who is interested in reprising his role as Ian Malcolm, to the cast. Those giving up on the Jurassic World series just because one film in the series isn't being received well aren't looking at the bigger picture. If You Like The New Please Rep and Like Thank you...
  6. Marvel Studios' Ant-Man and The Wasp will have a big connection to Avengers 4. The most unique aspect of the Marvel Cinematic Universe is how every film connects to the rest. That remains true with solo movies but also the bigger team ups. As far as the sequel to Ant-Man is concerned, it will have plenty of chances to connect to other films. The marketing has shown how it connects to and plays off the events of Captain America: Civil War, but it also has Thanos to deal with. There has been plenty of speculation over how Ant-Man and The Wasp could play with the ending to Avengers: Infinity War to this point. A new TV spot confirmed that the movie takes place much closer to Infinity War than previously believed too. And while it may bridge the gap a tiny bit, it will also have a directly connection to next year's untitled Avengers 4. Marvel Studios released a new featurette for Ant-Man and The Wasp centering around Evangeline Lilly's titular character, but studio president Kevin Feige couldn't help but tease the importance of the film and its stars. Confirming what has long been expected, Feige says this isn't just a fun standalone movie, but is a big part of what is coming next: "Ant-Man and The Wasp also connects directly to Avengers 4. These characters are going to be very important going forward." It isn't a secret that Ant-Man (Paul Rudd) and Wasp are going to appear in Avengers 4, but their roles are just as mysterious as everything else that's surrounding the movie. Set photos have Ant-Man at the Battle of New York, while Lilly has said Wasp's role is a bit smaller. Still, the Avengers 3 & 4 writers teased this upcoming sequel is the most connected to Infinity War, so Feige stating it also has a major connection to Avengers 4 just goes to show how important Ant-Man and The Wasp may end up being. How that comes to pass is up for debate at this point, but the most popular theory is thanks to the Quantum Realm. This featurette spends quite a bit of time talking about the Quantum Realm and the mission to rescue Janet van Dyne (Michelle Pfeiffer). But, there's plenty of speculation that this realm will be a major key to Avengers 4 and whatever plan the Avengers come up with to defeat Thanos. One of our own theories points to the Quantum Realm enabling time travel for the heroes. Its becoming more and more clear that Ant-Man and The Wasp will be anything close to a throwaway, non-consequential installment in the MCU. Thankfully there's only a few weeks left until everyone figures out how and why. If You Like The New Please Rep and Like Thank you..
  7. Sony Pictures is reportedly developing another Spider-Man spinoff film, Silk. The Korean-American hero is a fairly new character who was bitten by the same radioactive spider that famously turned Peter Parker into Spider-Man. While Spider-Man is currently appearing exclusively in films produced by Marvel Studios, characters in his corner of the Marvel Universe are getting their own standalone films. The first Spider-Man spinoff, Venom, will release in October of this year, followed by the computer-animated Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse in December, which puts the focus on the Miles Morales version of the character. Also on Sony's development slate is a female superhero team-up, Silver & Black, which will focus on expert thief Black Cat and mercenary Silver Sable. Others on the list include "action horror" film Morbius the Living Vampire, Nightwatch, Mysterio, and Kraven. The Wrap reports that Sony is adding Silk to their growing list of Spider-Man spinoff movies. Amy Pascal, producer of Spider-Man: Homecoming, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, and Venom, is expected to produce. Silk would be the second Spider-Man spinoff to feature a female character in the lead role, unless of course Silver and Black is delayed. It's been suspected that this might happen, especially since new writers have just been hired. If that's the case, a delay could make room on Sony's slate for Silk. Debuting in April 2014, Silk is a creation of acclaimed The Amazing Spider-Man writer Dan Slott. Having been bitten by the same spider that bit Parker, high school student Cindy Moon developed powers similar to his but didn't emerge as a superhero until several years later during the "Original Sin" event. After being a key supporting character for some time, Silk became a favorite with fans and gained her own solo series that lasted for 19 issues. It's worth noting that Silk's alter-ego, Cindy Moon, already exists in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Played by Tiffany Espensen, Cindy had a minor role in Spider-Man: Homecoming as one of Parker's classmates. Espensen briefly reprised the role in the bus scene in Avengers: Infinity War. Since Cindy has received such a small amount of screen time, it seems unlikely that the MCU version of the character will ever evolve into a superhero like her comic book counterpart. So Sony's Silk may be fans' only chance to see Cindy Moon fighting crime as Silk. If You Like The New Please Rep and Like Thank you..
  8. DC and Warner Bros. could be announcing Man of Steel 2 sooner rather than later, though confirmation of the sequel may not arrive until after San Diego Comic-Con next month. Superman (Henry Cavill) was last seen in Justice League. Newly resurrected, and CGI-assisted, he was gearing up to race The Flash (Ezra Miller) to determine the fate of brunch. Since then, confirmed details have been scarce as to when - if at all - Cavill would don the cape again. It's no secret that both Man of Steel and Batman V Superman received mixed reviews and proved divisive amongst audiences. Still, that hasn't stopped the actor from receiving a legion of fans who are eager to see him return - especially with Justice League establishing the character as more akin to his comic book persona. Cavill himself can next be seen antagonizing Tom Cruise in Mission: Impossible - Fallout. Adding another franchise under his belt, his star continues to rise in Hollywood. Despite that, his schedule over the next few years remains pretty clear. According to Revenge of the Fans EIC Mario-Francisco Robles on the El Fanboy Podcast, that could be due to production on a Man of Steel sequel looming on the horizon. As explained by Robles, Warner Bros. wants Cavill to be part of their panel at San Diego Comic-Con next month. While that could mean they announce Man of Steel 2, Cavill might instead by used to introduce a Shazam! trailer. Further, Robles says Warner Bros. might be waiting until Mission: Impossible - Fallout debuts, to see whether it helps Cavill's star rise, before giving the Man of Steel sequel the green light. The actor recently added fuel to the idea of a Man of Steel sequel with a post on Instagram. Hitting the gym with a vengeance, Cavill stated that he is "working on the Super Buns!" and hinted that fans may see him squeeze them into the famous blue outfit in the near future. The search for a director wouldn't even take long, with Chris McQuarrie on standby if required. Of course, as indicated by Robles, this could just be Cavill working up to an appearance at San Diego Comic-Con, where news and trailers of DCEU films are sure to be released. An Aquaman trailer is already confirmed to debut. If Cavill does introduce the Shazam! trailer, despite director David F. Sandberg teasing his own appearance at SDCC, it certainly makes sense. There have been rumors of Superman showing up in Shazam!, after all. Should Billy Batson need assistance learning the superhero ropes in his Shazam persona, you couldn't get a better role model that Superman. This could be why Cavill seems intent on taking comical jabs at Dwayne Johnson on social media. Set to play the villainous Black Adam in the DCEU, rumors have always been rife that Johnson will appear in Shazam! in one capacity or another, pitting he and Cavill on opposite ends of the heroic spectrum. Still, if indeed Warner Bros. really wants Man of Steel 2 to hit theaters in 2020, we should know one way or another before too long, whether it's announced at SDCC or a little later this year. 9. In the first trailer and poster for Netflix’s doomsday film How It Ends, personal bonds are contrasted with intense apocalyptic imagery. Directed by David H. Rosenthal, How It Ends stars Divergent franchise actor Theo James as a man who suddenly loses contact with his pregnant wife (Kat Graham) during a catastrophic event. Incidentally, he’s forced to strategize with his estranged father-in-law, portrayed by Oscar winner Forrest Whitaker, for a 2,000 mile trek across the United States. How It Ends was filmed in Winnipeg and co-stars Halt and Catch Fire’s Kerry Bishé. Today, Netflix released How It Ends’ first trailer and poster. In the clip, family dynamics are immediately emphasized, thus setting the context for the separation between Whitaker and Graham’s characters. Most importantly, the underlying conflict parallels the subsequent end-of-days visuals that raise the stakes even further. Take a look at the trailer above and the poster below. While the trailer utilizes a formulaic approach with the storyline and images, it does increasingly build suspense by highlighting Whitaker’s natural on-screen charisma as a morally conflicted individual, along with the importance of the character’s practical way of thinking during such a crisis. As a result, the collective character archetypes receive a boost, leading to a terrifying final sequence that showcases breathtaking cinematography and all its visceral power. The film’s poster also contrasts stoicism with practicality, only the roles are reversed for Whitaker and James. Written by Brooks McLaren, How It Ends was developed because of the script’s popularity on the annual survey known as “The Black List.” In 2010, How It Ends was featured along with screenplays for future box office hits like Argo, American Hustle and The Hunger Games. While the Netflix movie is McLaren’s first feature, he’s already been selected to write Millennium Films’ upcoming reboot Rambo 5, which originally wasn’t supposed to star Sylvester Stallone in a reprising role. However, the narrative has shifted in recent weeks, as Stallone not only confirmed his involvement, but also tweeted out a teaser poster. Based on How It Ends’ success on Netflix, McLaren and Stallone may have another marketing tool to promote their collaboration. Theoretically, How It Ends will likely have intriguing dialogue to match the explosive visuals, at least given the hype around McLaren’s script. But the first trailer emphasizes bold visuals over bold dialogue, aside from Whitaker’s emphatic statement: “Are you coming with me?” Perhaps that's the key for Netflix: Whitaker's appeal as both a sympathetic yet flawed character, along with his ability to improvise scripted dialogue and deliver a classic line. Let’s see if audiences embrace the narrative journey. How It Ends will be available to stream July 13 on Netflix. If You Like The New Please Rep and Like Thank you..
  10. Fans of Game of Thrones are theorizing what Sophie Turner's new tattoo may be mean for the series finale. Turner is one of the few leading cast members of Game of Thrones to survive throughout the entire series so far - and she's slated to appear once again in the upcoming final season. The Stark family hasn't had it easy since the show premiered. There were many times in which the family was torn apart, then almost brought back together, with only a few surviving members finally reuniting at their home in Winterfell last season. Turner, like her other young costars, has grown up on the show. With Game of Thrones coming to an end, any inkling can be taken as a clue for what the final season might bring fans. As reported by The Wrap, Sophie Turner discussed her new tattoo on The Late Late Show with James Corden but refrained from mentioning what it means for the show. The actress's tattoo is of the House Stark sigil, a direwolf. Under the famous sigil reads, "The pack survives." Once the artist of the tattoo posted the image on Instagram, fans started speculating that it was a spoiler for the new season. Fans believe that the Starks will survive, if not rule the Iron Throne. When questioned about her tattoo by The Late Late Show host, Turner said, "It’s just a quote from last season...Everyone figures that the pack really does survive, but it’s just a moral that I like to live by." When Corden urged the actress to spill any details about the last season, Turner joked, "I’ll just get it tattooed on my forehead next time." Prior to getting the tattoo, Turner was warned by her friends that once fans saw it, they would automatically begin to speculate. But fans have already been wondering who will survive Game of Thrones' final season since the season 7 finale. Everyone on the show is preparing for the final showdown. Given the past each member of the Stark family has had to survive, or die trying, the tattoo could have a more ominous tone. Especially if events take a turn for the worse for the Starks by season 8, Turner's tattoo could symbolize the lasting bond she will maintain with her costars - or the tattoo could foreshadow the ultimate triumph of the pack. Fans will be left wondering what exactly the tattoo means, or if it has any meaning at all, until the final season premieres in 2019. If You Like The New Please Rep and Like Thank you..
  11. MTV is launching its own studio and at the top of its agenda is bringing back classic shows. The launch follows up on promising news from earlier this month when word circulated about the reboot of MTV's classic animated series Aeon Fluxas a live-action series. Now it is doubling down by bringing back another cartoon with one definitive difference: it will remain animated. MTV Studios is bringing Daria back in the form of a revival of the animated series that will feature Daria and original character Jodie. Accordingly, the upcoming series will be entitled Daria & Jodie. Here is what you need to know. The new show will feature Daria Morgendorffer and her close friend Jodie Landon. Both characters were featured on the original series, which saw the friends navigate high school. The reboot will feature both young women lending their voices to commentary aimed at deconstructing topics ranging from pop culture, social class, gender, and race. The show will be written by Grace Edwards, whose credits include the comediesUnbreakable Kimmy Schmidt and Inside Amy Schumer. The revival will mark the return of the characters, last seen in Daria-related content in 2002. While it is hard to believe, the show itself has been off the air for sixteen years. Daria ran for five seasons that aired from 1997 to 2001, with a film and two specials airing after it ended its original run on MTV. Interestingly, Daria and Aeon Flux are not the only classic shows coming back. The Real World is also making a comeback. Given that Aeon Flux, Daria & Jodie, and The Real World are in the works for MTV Studios rather than MTV itself, the new series are being developed for SVOD (streaming video on demand) for showcase on a non-MTV platform. That means they could be coming to a streamer near you. As of now, Daria & Jodie, Aeon Flux, and The Real World are being shopped around to streamers, including Netflix, Hulu, and Apple, according to Deadline. For whatever reason, Amazon Prime is not among those mentioned. Potential streamers should be interested in not only seizing upon fans' nostalgia for the original series but the potential to present the show to new viewers who may not have watched the original. It will be interesting to see which of the streaming services ends up picking up the show. With Netflix streaming Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt and Grace Edwards' being Daria & Jodie's writer, it is easy to imagine the animated series finding a home there. Time will tell though.
  12. Legends of Tomorrow is the place to be on network TV for a true ensemble superhero series, and the Legends often need all hands on deck to get out of their various timeline messes. The ensemble got a shake-up in the Season 3 finale when Amaya left the Waverider for her home village, Jax revealed that he's happily married with a daughter and therefore not inclined to run away on time travel missions all the time, Damien Darhk is dead, and Rip Hunter was killed. Kid Flash won't be around in Season 4, and Leonard Snart won't be coming back. Luckily, we now know of one character who will help fill in some of the gaps in Legends of Tomorrow. Courtney Ford, a.k.a. Nora Darhk, has been bumped up to regular status for Season 4. Nora technically made her Arrow-verse debut on Arrow back in Season 4 as a little girl, but she reached full villain status as an adult on Legends of Tomorrow in Season 3 when she and her father teamed up to try and unleash the time demon known as Mallus on the world. While Nora seemed doomed to die in Season 3 when Mallus took over her body, she was saved when Damien took her place. Damien Darhk died (again), leaving Nora to be locked up for her crimes... or so she thought. Ray, who seemed more than a bit smitten with her, decided to honor the fact that Damien died to give his daughter a second chance, so he gave her Damien's time stone to allow her to escape before the Time Bureau agents could take her to prison. Nora is free and has good reason to owe Ray a favor. Courtney Ford was a recurring actor in the third season of Legends of Tomorrow, appearing in many of the episodes following her debut in the fifth episode. Deadline reports that she'll be a regular for Season 4, although details about her role are apparently scarce. It's possible that losing her father than then being freed by Ray has given her a new outlook on life and she'll turn away from the villainous path; it's also possible that she'll be yet another problem the Legends will have to face in the fourth season. Interestingly, Ford is actually married to Brandon Routh, who plays Ray. If romance blooms between Nora and Ray, the actors probably won't mind! If Nora is still a villain in Season 4, at least the Legends can count on having a couple of allies around more often. Matt Ryan was added to the ensemble as a regular, meaning a lot more of John Constantine. Jes Macallan is a new regular as Ava as well, so Sara's love life may be rather complicated in the fourth season! Legends of Tomorrow executive producer Marc Guggenheim also hasn't ruled out Rip Hunter somehow returning to the land of the living, so we'll have to wait and see what happens. Legends of Tomorrow will return for Season 4 on Monday, October 22 at 9 p.m. ET on The CW.
