Shadow of the Tomb Raider, the next chapter to Lara Croft’s adventures is releasing this September, featuring Xbox One X enhancements. The new Tomb Raider game will let you choose one of two graphical options on Xbox One X, one in 4K 30fps and the other in 1080p 60fps. The choice between 4K and 1080p is something that most triple-A titles releasing lately have available, giving players the opportunity to choose depending on their monitor of choice. Eidos-Montreal Programming Director Frédéric Robichaud has provided us with more information on the matter in a detailed interview with Xbox Wire. According to him, Shadow of the Tomb Raider will implement two modes for players: High Resolution and High Framerate mode. The first will be running at a 4K resolution with 30FPS while the latter will be the stable 1080p with 60FPS mode we all love and cherish. Robichaud suggests the first mode for all players that have a monitor or TV supporting it: The recent Tomb Raider games are known for their high-quality graphics and Shadow of the Tomb Raider, as the final entry in the origin trilogy, pushes the visual boundaries more than ever before. Supporting 4K was mandatory for us. Players that do not own a 4K TV will still see the visual improvements, mostly with less aliasing and more details in the image. If the player chooses the High Framerate mode, they will enjoy the fluidity and reactivity of the controls in a seamless gameplay experience. As for its graphical features, Robichaud pointed out that HDR will be entirely revamped for Shadow of the Tomb Raider, including realistic lights intensity calibration, HDR textures and global illumination energy conservation. He stated: We completely revamped our pipeline to integrate HDR from the beginning of production. Shadow of the Tomb Raider looks more real and better than ever before because of 4K and HDR. Better resolution, less aliasing, more intensity and more nuance. We hope that players are blown away by the visual fidelity of the most recent edition to the Tomb Raider franchise. Shadow Of The Tomb Raider is an action-adventure game in development at Eidos Montreal and is scheduled to launch on September 14, 2018, for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.

Getting a variety of different games on a variety of different consoles is the dream of any big-name developer, and Blizzard Entertainment is no exception. However, even Blizzard will have to make choices when it comes to a choice between Starcraft 2 and Overwatch on Switch, and in this case Overwatch won out. Pete Stilman of Blizzard has said that anything is in the realm of possibility when it comes to putting a game on the Nintendo Switch, but even the Switch and Blizzard have their limits, even with Starcraft 2 and Overwatc on Switch. While Overwatch will likely be getting a Nintendo Switch port at sometime in the future (especially after Blizzard has already confirmed a Diablo 3 Switch port), Starcraft 2 likely won’t. It’s a very rare thing that an RTS game will be able to be ported to a console, especially when most of those console real-time strategy games often don’t turn out very well. While the first Starcraft was ported over to the Nintendo 64, that port required the game to be significantly reworked in order to make the game be able to work on the console. Unless Blizzard was willing to change Starcraft 2 enough to get it to work on the Nintendo Switch, it’ll likely remain PC exclusive. Stillman has said that even with the possibility of Starcraft 2 and Overwatch on Switch, that Diablo 3 is currently their main focus. It’s a big game with a lot of things that could go wrong, and while the other versions of the game for the Xbox One and Playstation 4 have launched smoothly, something could happen with the Switch. But either way, players will not only be getting the Reaper of Souls and Necromancer DLC for the game, they’ll also be getting a number of little Nintendo touches, such as the ability to transmogrify their gear to look like Ganondorf, special wings based on Majora’s Mask, a profile frame, and a cucco. The game will be coming to the Switch later this fall.

If you plan on buying the Nintendo Switch version of Diablo 3, you’ll be getting a few little extra things to go along with it. Special Diablo 3 Switch content will be added to the new version, fitting the same pattern that happens with many ports to the Nintendo Switch since release. Players who decide to start their journey to save the world of Sanctuary once again on the Switch can expect to gain a good bit of new content in both cosmetic and functional styles. When the game was ported to the Playstation 4, there was a separate area that you could travel to that pitted your character against fungus zombies, in reference to one of the most popular games on the Playstation 4, The Last Of Us. There’s no telling if anything else will be coming along with it, such as the Necromancer being able to summon Luigi’s ghost or any special weapons like the Master Sword that a Barbarian or Crusader can pick up over the course of their adventures, but even if there’s nothing else beyond Ganondorf and special wings for the Diablo 3 Switch content, the game still takes players on an intense and epic adventure that’ll give them plenty of fun. You’ll be able to get all of this Diablo 3 Switch content when the game comes to the Nintendo Switch this fall, and will be coming along with online multiplayer.

A Total War Three Kingdoms day and night cycle will determine what time that you fight a battle at, according to a new gameplay video that was part of the game’s Gamescom presentation. This is in contrast to previous Total War games, which only allowed night battles as a specific pre-battle decision. However, this time, Three Kingdoms will have a day and night cycle on the game’s strategic map that will pass as you wait your turn, meaning that several in-game days can pass during a turn if you want to do a lot of stuff across a turn. If you go into a battle during your turn, depending on what time it is, will also dictate the time of the battle. In the ambush battle shown off at Gamescom, the battle began when night was on the campaign map, and so the ambush battle was also at night. Similar situations will happen in the rest of the game as well, so you could have battles taking place in the morning, at high noon, at dusk, or in the middle of the night. Weather conditions will also have a similar effect, all thanks to the Total War Three Kingdoms day and night cycle. This will also extend to things like actual battle maps. In a similar manner to how quest battles in Total War Warhammer would take place on certain maps, it’s likely that major battles in the Romanticized version of the game will also be taking place on specific maps, such as the famous Battle of Red Cliff. In previous Total War games, night battles were only accessible through a pre-battle option that you click on. Weather conditions were also not seen on the map beforehand, so you’d have to wait at the start of battle for weather conditions that you found favorable. While there won’t be special ambush battles for games like Total War Warhammer’s Underway and Beast Path battles, the Total War Three Kingdoms day and night cycle that will be coming with the game will be a good bit of detail that no Total War game has ever had before. Total War Three Kingdoms will be coming out early 2019 exclusively on the PC.

Intel is already facing competition from AMD Ryzen CPU in desktop and mobile CPU market. However, AMD Ryzen is not the only competitor that Intel has to look out for as ARM has revealed its roadmap for upcoming mobile ARM CPUs that didn’t shy away from openly challenging Intel Core i5-U starting with ARM Cortex-A76. ARM has been targeting the mobile CPU or laptop CPU market for past few years and this time ARM has brought in its big guns and revealed its roadmap for its mobile CPUs till 2020. With these chips, ARM will be directly competing with Intel Core i5-U CPUs. The first of these ARM CPUs is the already announced ARM Cortex-A76 which promises 35% performance increase compared to previous-gen mobile CPUs. Not only that, this particular ARM CPU, the Cortex-A76, will also see four-times the performance for machine learning interface compared to previous ones. Furthermore, ARM has noted that starting with ARM Cortex 76, its mobile chips will see a significant increase in performance at a faster rate. While ARM is openly challenging Intel Core i5-U CPUs for the mobile CPU market but t won’t be easy for ARM CPUs just simple take the market share given that Intel has a huge portfolio of CPUs for its mobile CPU market. The issue here seems to be with the notifications that have been set aside by the game for the player when he/she is offline. As soon as the player comes online and starts playing the game, these notifications start to turn up one after another. At least once in a minute, it’s going to inform you that your friend is playing Monster Hunter World PC. It is being reported that the main reason behind this bizarre pattern is down to the constant checks being run in the multiplayer mode of the game. Battlefield V is one of the most anticipated games of this year and EA DICE has dropped a new Battlefield V Gamescom trailer that is as beautiful as it is exciting and also gives us a peek at the battle royale mode. Arkane Studio is a well know studio mostly from its amazing Dishonored Series, which has now been currently put to rest. At least for some time, while Arkane Studios works on another game that might feature a multiplayer mode. During the QuakeCon 2018 even, in a response to a question asked, the designer at Arkane Studios, Ricardo Bare said that the next game, the studio is working on might contain some form of a multiplayer mode. Additionally, he also revealed that Dishonored series has been currently put to rest. Interesting thing is that some of the elements used in the next game are being taken from The Crossing, a title that never actually made it. For those who do now know, The Crossing is a title, that was going to combine single player story campaign with a multiplayer. So it does seem to reason that Arkane Studios is very much serious on bringing in the multiplayer guns. Furthermore Bare also added that inducing multiplayer will not be done by force. Meaning that a truly captivating plot will not be forced into a kind of deathmatch. He said: incredibly destructive, because they end with the fact that the band that created a truly captivating plot mode is forced to work on deathmatch or something like that. With all that said, we already have had the news of Arkane putting Dishonored series to rest for an indefinite period but no one anticipated the next title which is in the works to feature a multiplayer mode. If that becomes the case, it could actually step up the level for the studio, and bring them to a whole new class. Developer Eidos Montreal has really stepped up its game for the upcoming Shadow Of The Tomb Raider and this is quite evident in the work they have put in the game. Now the studio has detailed the Shadow Of The Tomb Raider New Game Plus mode. While the Shadow Of The Tomb Raider New Game Plus mode works the same as other titles in regards to letting players use their acquired gear and skills for their second or so playthrough. However, at the same time, the Shadow Of The Tomb Raider New Game Plus mode is different from what we have seen in other game. As explained by the studio, the New Game Plus “unlocks three new Paths that Lara Croft can master”, which are: Path of the Serpent Path of the Jaguar Path of the Eagle Path of the Serpent focuses on stealth and playing with the fears of the enemies. “Take down your foes one by one, using sound and decoys to sow chaos among their ranks. Mud and camoflague lets you lash out your foes before slipping back into the shadows.” Path of the Jaguar focuses on player’s skill for hunting and combat. “Your agility and close-ranged prowess tear through your enemies with knife takedowns.” Path of the Eagle focuses on player’s ability to traverse through the environment and tracking enemies from afar and planning your strategy to take them down. However, Shadow Of The Tomb Raider New Game Plus mode doesn’t come without its rewards and rewards it has plenty. Each path will give players exclusive rewards that will “further compliment your playstyle and gameplay”. What it means is that selecting a certain path will unlock mastery skills with new abilities. Each skill and ability unlocked will help players to further refine their gameplay skills. Aside from these abilities and rewards, each chosen path will also bring “unique themed weapons and outfits”. However, if you want to challenge yourself in the first playthrough of your game then you can do as Shadow Of The Tomb Raider features “independent” difficulty settings for Combat, exploration, and puzzles. Also, the studio has confirmed that currently, it has no plans to bring the game to Nintendo Switch and intends to focus on PC and current-gen consoles for now. The soundtrack list for the upcoming game features some really interesting and catchy songs. The NBA 2K19 soundtrack list includes 20 soundtracks from renowned artists like Bruno Mars, Fall Out Boy, Travis Scott. However, that is not the full list of soundtracks that will be featured in the game as developer Visual Concepts has confirmed that there will be more soundtracks in the game. Not only that, Travis Scott, who is also the executive producer for the Soundtrack, has noted that it’s an honor for him to work on the NBA 2K19 soundtrack which also includes one of his songs too. “This is an honor. According to the board partner, the upcoming Nvidia RTX 2080 will cost $649 and will beat the Nvidia TITAN V in terms of performance. The rumored Nvidia RTX 2080 will feature 3072 CUDA cores and will be based on Turing architecture and will feature 8 GB of GDDR6 memory. While the RTX 2080 will feature 8 GB of VRAM like the GTX 1080 but, the GDDR6 memory will provide higher memory bandwidth and performance. However, that is not the only Nvidia GPU about whom rumors have been making rounds on the internet. While the board partner has revealed that Nvidia RTX 2080 will beat the $3000 TITAN V but, another report has suggested that the RTX 2080 Ti will be a monster featuring 11 GB of GDDR6 memory. With the RTX 2080 reportedly beating the TITAN V it will be interesting to see how the Nvidia RTX 2080 Ti will perform in terms of performance. The developers of the series, CI Games have announced Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts just today. Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts is going to be the latest installment of the tactical sniping franchise. The series is much-admired in the genre of shooter video games. Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts would surely aim to bring in a fresh approach to the sniping gameplay. CI Games announced that Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts is going to be launched on PS4, Xbox One, and PC in 2019 featuring both single-player and multiplayer modes. CI Games are committed to delivering Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts as their best sniping game yet with intense missions. The game will move away from open world gaming as in Sniper Ghost Warrior 3 to a rather contracts-based system. This time a leak has made its way on the internet revealing specs for Nvidia RTX 2080 Ti with 11 GB of GDDDR6 memory. Aside from the specs for the Nvidia RTX 2080 Ti the leak also revealed alleged specs for Nvidia RTX 2070 and Nvidia RTX 2080. The specs for the RTX 2080 Ti are truly incredible and it will be interesting to see how powerful it is since leaked benchmarks reveal that Nvidia RTX 2080 is equivalent of Titan V in terms of performance. According to the leak, the Nvidia RTX 20180 Ti will feature 11 GB of GDDR6 memory while the RTX 2080 will be keeping the 8 GB VRAM like the GTX 1080. Former Journey star Steve Perry made sure he had the blessing of George Harrison's widow before he added his version of the former Beatle's I Need You on his comeback album. The singer first heard the track years ago and always dreamed of reworking it as an R&B tune, but he wanted to make sure Harrison's family was OK with his rendition before going public with it, and recruited Tom Petty's former drummer Steve Ferrone to help him. "I heard it (song) in my head as an R&B song, like I just recorded it, when I was a kid," Steve tells New York City's Q104.3 radio station. "I just heard it as a bigger song, because it is a bigger song - George Harrison wrote an amazing song. "A friend of mine, Steve Ferrone, is very close to Olivia Harrison, and I said, 'Someday, I'd love to play the song for her and get her blessing. You ask her'. So he comes back and he says, 'I spoke to her. Here's her email. She said give her a call'. "All of a sudden I'm emailing Olivia Harrison and I'm trying to be very careful with every question: 'Can I please talk to you? I just wanna play you this song'. And she gets back to me immediately; it was so beautiful." Perry visited Olivia at her office and played her the song. "I was so nervous, because when you're in the George Harrison environment, you just feel him there - and it's Olivia!" he recalls. "She listened to it and then she quickly grabbed the remote and restarted the song... and got halfway through the second listen and said, 'George would have loved this version'... I got the blessing." The track appears on Perry's new album Traces, which will be released on 5 October (18). It's the singer's first album since his last solo effort, For the Love of Strange Medicine, in 1994.
